Vitalik Throws Down for Tornado Cash Devs! ️ 🤝💵

Heads up, $ETH fam! Vitalik Buterin just donated a cool 30 ETH (around $111k) to the legal defense fund for those Tornado Cash devs.

This fund, built on Juicebox (think: fancy crypto crowdfunding), has already raised over $2.2 million to help Alexey Pertsev and Roman Storm fight the legal battle.

Why the Drama? 👀

These devs are facing money laundering charges for their work with Tornado Cash, a crypto mixer that lets people keep their transactions private. ️‍♂️ Dutch courts already sentenced Pertsev to jail time, and Roman's trial is coming up in September in the US. ⚖️

Buterin's a Backer

This isn't Vitalik's first rodeo with supporting a good cause. Back in 2022, he donated to a similar fund for WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange. 🤷
