Over 1 million new crypto tokens have been launched since April, most of them being #Memecoins !
🙀 Nearly half of these tokens, over 640,000, have been created on the Solana network.
🚀 Since April 1, 372,642 new tokens have emerged on the #Ethereumnetwork , with a significant 88% of them launched on Coinbase’s layer-2 blockchain, Base. This surge is driven by degens flocking to the low-cost network to create new memecoins.
Coinbase director Conor Grogan highlighted this trend in a May 14 post on X, noting that the number of #tokens created since April is twice the total number created on Ethereum between 2015 and 2023.
