#Binance    CEO Richard Teng said they were asked to pay a bribe in Nigeria 🤯

☑️ In January, Binance was invited to a meeting with the #Nigerian authorities, and a delegation went there - upon arrival, the exchange was accused of violating the law

☑️ When Binance employees were leaving the meeting place, unknown people approached them and offered to agree to secretly pay a large amount in #Crypto to resolve the situation - the employees refused and left.

☑️ Binance and the Nigerian authorities agreed on a new meeting at the end of February. A couple of hours later Tigran Gambaryan and Nadeem Anjarwalla were arrested and charged with financing terrorism, money laundering, and the collapse of the national currency.

☑️ Nadeem Anjarwalla (Head of Binance Africa) was able to escape, but Tigran Ghambaryan is still under arrest.
