Tether Achieves Top-Tier Security Compliance with Successful SOC 2 Audit

#Tether has successfully completed a System and Organization Controls 2 (SOC) audit, achieving the highest level of security compliance available, as confirmed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). This accomplishment highlights Tether's dedication to maintaining a secure environment for its users.

Paolo Ardoino, Tether's CEO, emphasized the significance of this achievement in a statement made on April 1, stating, "Achieving this compliance milestone reassures our customers that their assets and data are safeguarded in accordance with the most stringent standards for data protection and information security. This external affirmation of our security measures is crucial for Tether, reinforcing our position as the most reliable and compliant stablecoin in the market."

Tether has pledged to conduct SOC 2 audits annually to ensure its security protocols consistently meet these high standards. Furthermore, the company is working towards obtaining the SOC 2 Type II certification by the end of 2025, which will evaluate the effectiveness of its internal controls over a 12-month period, further solidifying its commitment to security and trustworthiness.
