An all-new 3D-printed fashion collection funded by Nouns DAO made a striking debut at NFT Paris last week. The collection features five looks designed by Danit Peleg, a pioneer in 3D-printed fashion. Notably, each look takes inspiration from the Nouns NFTs, a leading cc0 NFT collection.

Let’s take a closer look at what the Nouns DAO-funded 3D printed fashion collection is all about:

The fashion collection made its debut at NFT Paris. Nouns DAO funds 3D-printed fashion collection

Using various 3D-printed technologies, Danit Peleg created a collection of 5 looks and accessories. Some of the technologies she used included Polyjet, FDM, and Jet Fusion. Besides, she used OPTITEX, a pattern-making software, to create both the 2D & 3D versions of the collection.

Nouns DAO funded the collection which was created in partnership with the venture studio Moon Creative Lab. In fact, the decentralised autonomous organisation has funded Peleg with $140,000 across three milestones in the past year. The milestones ranged from creating the proof of concept to attending the first Metaverse Fashion Week and ultimately, printing the collection for a real-world show.

Peleg exhibited the pieces at NFT Paris on February 24 and 25. Moreover, she showcased the exhibits using AR, holograms, as well as physical pieces.

What is Nouns DAO?

An Ethereum-based decentralized autonomous organization, the Nouns DAO is the main governing body of the Nouns project. Governed by Nouns NFT holders, the DAO has funded a host of projects. They have also made several charity donations, including donating 3,000 children’s prescription glasses.

“I think this is the start of a golden era for creators,” Peleg said in a press release. “Nouns DAO is an inspiring organization with beautiful CC0 art… With its massive treasury, Nouns are empowering artists, designers, and creators to pursue their passions and bring their creations to life.”
