According to Odaily, a judge in Delaware heard arguments on Monday from lawyers challenging the massive compensation claims made by Tesla CEO Elon Musk. The lawyers argued that the enormous compensation Musk received was illegal and should be invalidated. A Tesla shareholder questioned Musk's 2018 compensation plan, with their lawyer asking Judge Kathaleen Saint Jude McCormick to rule that legal fees be paid to them in the form of Tesla company shares. Based on the current trading price, the company's stock is worth over $70 billion. The 2018 compensation plan for Musk, which could be worth over $55 billion, was potentially rescinded by the judge. After a full day of expert witness testimony and lawyer arguments, McCormick did not indicate when she would make a ruling on the fee request.
