According to U.Today, Billy Markus, co-creator of the popular meme cryptocurrency Dogecoin, recently shared his thoughts on social media engagement. Known as Shibetoshi Nakamoto on social media, Markus used his official handle on the platform X, previously known as Twitter, to discuss the negative aspects of using the platform. He suggested that the more a user engages with content they dislike, the more similar content they will see. This could be seen as advice on how to avoid unwanted content on the platform.

Markus is a regular user of X and even earns a small portion of his income through the monetization feature introduced by Elon Musk. Musk purchased the platform for $44 billion and began rebranding it as the 'ultimate Everything app'. Users who activate the monetization feature receive a share of advertising revenues on X. Musk also integrated a subscription feature, allowing users to charge their subscribers small monthly fees for additional content.

In other news, Markus recently paid tribute to Kabosu, the Shiba Inu dog that inspired the creation of Dogecoin. Kabosu passed away at the age of 19, prompting many in the crypto community, including Markus and Musk, to commemorate the dog. Markus posted a meme about Kabosu meeting Death and asking if she was 'a good girl', to which Death replied that she 'was the best'. Musk also tweeted about Kabosu's passing, stating that she had ascended to heaven.
