According to Foresight News, a hacker group known as CiberInteligenciaSV has released part of the source code for El Salvador's national Bitcoin wallet, Chivo, on the cybercrime forum BreachForums. The group stated that they were providing the code for the Chivo Bitcoin wallet ATM, emphasizing that it is a government wallet and that they do not sell, but freely publish everything.

This action comes in the wake of a series of events related to cyber attacks on Chivo, including an incident reported in early April where the personal data of 5.1 million Salvadorans, nearly the entire adult population of the country, was publicly exposed. As of now, the Salvadoran authorities have not issued any official statements related to this cyber attack.
