A Q&A with the TezosNoCode team!
I’ve often highlighted the community-built tools in the Tezos ecosystem as they are a sign of how involved and “real” the community of an ecosystem is. In previous articles I’ve covered tools like SBJKT, Bandog, xtzchad.xyz, and many more cool tools that the community has been building.
In the same manner, for today’s article, I’m taking a look into another great tool that you might not be aware of. This new tool is named TezosNoCode and it is designed to be an easy-to-use platform for creators to launch their own NFT smart contracts without the need of knowing how to code.
This time, though, instead of having me tell you all about it, I decided to reach out to the team behind the project and give you all the details straight from the source! So let’s take a look at the Q&A I had with the team!
Q&A — TezosNoCode Team
Q: First of all, thank you for this interview! Before we get into the details of TezosNoCode, could you tell us a few things about you and the team behind TezosNoCode?
A: We would like to start by thanking and appreciating you for this opportunity.
The team that is developing TezosNoCode is composed of 3 Co-Founders: - @TeraBitcoins (Portuguese), website programmer, trainer and SEO consultant for local businesses; - @shapeman2004 (Portuguese-French), software engineer and developer; - @DaEko67541794 (French), engineer, back and frontend developer.
Q: What inspired the creation of TezosNoCode, and how did the idea come to life?
A: The inspiration to create TezosNoCode came, a couple of years ago, from the need to develop and have our own smart contracts that would allow us to perform random mints in a simple and no-code way, as they already exist in other blockchains.
The idea finally came to life in April 2024 after @TeraBitcoins was introduced to @shapeman2004 (by @_PeterNirvana — founder of @TheTezos Community), and @DaEko67541794 was suggested by the latter to join the team and develop the back and frontend of TezosNoCode.
Q: So what exactly is TezosNoCode, and who is it designed for?
A: At the moment, TezosNoCode is a project in development to enable the creation of no-code smart contracts for NFT collections that will be randomly distributed through a customized page for each collection.
However, this is just the beginning of what we believe will be developed and enhanced with more additional productivity features to help all NFT creators on Tezos Blockchain.
Q: Can you walk us through an example of how the workflow would look like for an artist when they use TezosNoCode?
A:Yes, absolutely. Thanks for the question.
We can simplify the process in 3 basic steps:
1. Create a NFT collection (which, in technical terms, is creating a smart contract), the same way we do it on other Tezos’ marketplaces.
2. Add digital assets (images, audio or video), which can be compared to the process of creating NFTs but, in this case, they’re only recorded in the smart contract to then be randomly assigned.
3. Automatically generate a custom page where collectors will be able to randomly mint one of the NFTs that will be available in each collection.
Q: At what stage is the project, and when is the launch planned for?
A:Right now, we have the Alpha version of TezosNoCode available on Tezos Ghostnet for creators who have signed up for Early Access. We are conducting tests to get feedback from users and aim to launch the 1st Beta version on Tezos MainNet in Q1 of 2025.
Q: What’s your long-term vision for TezosNoCode?
A: First, it’s important to mention that our main goal is to simplify the process of creating Tezos Smart Contracts and allow everyone to take control of their digital assets.
In the long term, we intend to evolve and develop new features in TezosNoCode to be the benchmark for no-code solutions on the Tezos blockchain.
