Bitcoin Blasts Past $100K Again – Trump’s Win Seals the Deal?

Bitcoin reclaimed its $100K throne on January 6th (local time), coinciding with the joint congressional session certifying former President Donald Trump’s re-election.

According to U.S. crypto exchange CoinMetrics, BTC hit $102,499 at 11:29 AM, after opening the day at $98,250. Just the day before, it was trading at $98,293, marking a sharp surge that saw Bitcoin flirt with the $103K mark. This is the first time BTC has crossed $100K since mid-December, making it a pivotal moment in the crypto market.

A crypto market insider told CNBC, “Overall, the market is in a bullish environment, and investors seem ready to take risks heading into the new year. With Trump’s certification today and January historically being a strong month—six out of the last ten years saw positive price action—it’s no surprise the market’s climbing.”

New year, new highs. Is this just the start of 2025’s crypto fireworks? 🚀
