Coinspeaker Mining Giant CleanSpark Reports Record Year as Holdings Hit 9,952 BTC
CleanSpark Inc. released a report on its Bitcoin mining activities for December 2024. The company mined 668 bitcoins in December and 7,024 bitcoins in 2024. By December 31, 2024, the total Bitcoin holdings were 9,952.
Zach Bradford, the CEO and President of CleanSpark, said the company grew significantly in 2024, becoming a leader in hashrate, reducing costs, improving fleet performance, and managing its Bitcoin holdings efficiently.
Zach also said that CleanSpark Inc. did better than expected this year. The company reached a hashrate of 39.1 exahashes per second and made its equipment work more efficiently. They hit these goals earlier than planned. In December 2024, their average hashrate was 35.52 exahashes per second, and their fleet efficiency was 18.06 J/Th of energy. This performance helped them mine an average of 21.56 bitcoins each day, with the highest amount of 22.46 bitcoins mined in one day. CleanSpark also sold 12.65 bitcoins in December 2024 for about $101,246 each. The company stated:
“Throughout December 2024, the Company’s average hashrate was 35.52 EH/s and average fleet efficiency was 18.06 J/Th, resulting in an average of 21.56 bitcoin mined daily. The single day high reached 22.46 bitcoin. The Company sold 12.65 bitcoin during December 2024 at an average price of approximately $101,246 per bitcoin.”
Expansion into New States and Facilities Boosts Growth
CleanSpark’s growth was also fueled by strategic expansions into new states. The company expanded its footprint into Mississippi, Tennessee, and Wyoming while continuing to grow its existing mining sites. In Clinton, Mississippi, two Bitcoin mining facilities became fully operational, equipped with S21 Pro miners, achieving a combined hashrate of about 1 EH/s.
Also, in Jackson, Tennessee, the first phase of a 60 MW mining site has been completed, featuring 12 MW of the latest S21 XP Immersion miners. The second phase, which is currently being developed, will add another 48 MW of air-cooled S21 Pro miners. Once it starts working fully, the Jackson site is expected to increase CleanSpark’s total hashrate by approximately 3.7 EH/s.
The company reached a big milestone when it mined its 20,000th Bitcoin, showing how much it has grown since starting just four years ago. The company is determined to keep going and plans to reach 50 exahashes per second (EH/s) by mid-2025. With a solid plan for growth, the company is ready to lead the Bitcoin mining industry in new ideas and expansion.
“As we gear up to achieve 50 EH/s by mid-2025, our growth strategy is not only ambitious but fully funded, positioning CleanSpark to lead the industry into its next phase of innovation and scale.” CleanSpark wrote.
