Elon Musk has confirmed that Starlink, his satellite internet company, is awaiting approval from the Pakistani government to commence operations in the country. This announcement came in response to a Pakistani social media user's appeal for improved internet connectivity, to which Musk replied, "We are waiting for approval from the government."

Minister of State for IT and Telecommunication, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, has indicated that Starlink is registered in Pakistan and is currently undergoing the licensing process.

Starlink's entry into Pakistan could significantly enhance internet connectivity, especially in remote and underserved regions. However, previous attempts have faced regulatory challenges, including concerns about potential interference with Pakistan's geostationary satellite, PakSAT-MM1.

As of now, the launch is pending governmental approval, and no specific timeline has been provided for when Starlink services will become available in Pakistan.
