Solana set monthly records for new Address and Active Address amid price increases
🎀 In recent days, all eyes have been on Solana, as the rapid rise in the coin's price has sparked waves of hype. More than a year after the collapse of FTX caused its price to drop below $10, traders are celebrating the coin's breakthrough of $100 on eBay, while Saga phones filled with BONK Airdrop are still being sold for thousands of dollars.
According to data provided by The Block, Solana's network has already set a record for new and active Addresses per month, despite having a week left in the month.
🎀 The number of active addresses on the Solana network increased by about 50% from November to more than 15.6 million, surpassing the previous record of 15.2 million set in January.
So far, the number of new addresses in December has also set a record of 6.8 million, compared to 6.6 million in May 2023.
There is one indicator that has not yet set a record: non-voting transactions, the number of which is still lower than the November figure. On the Solana network, transactions that send funds or trigger smart contracts are also used to validate the network, so non-voting transactions are an important metric for measuring real user activity.
