The trial between crypto exchange Gemini and the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has been postponed to January 21st, CoinTelegraph reported. The trial was originally scheduled to begin on January 13th. No specific reason was given for the delay. U.S. District Judge Alvin Hellerstein, however, added that “no further adjournments will be granted.” The litigation between Gemini and the regulator has been delayed since President Donald Trump was elected, which has led to speculation that the CFTC’s approach to Gemini and other crypto firms could change. The CFTC has been investigating Gemini since 2017, and the exchange has been accused of violating the Commodity Exchange Act. Gemini has denied the allegations.
