🚨 30 December,2024 $USDT Ban date in EU 🚨
The EU is banning USDT as of December 30th until they meet MiCA regulations.
Historical View
The controversial history of $USDT dates back to 2017, marked by challenges tied to Tether's practices.
Here’s a look at the key issues:
• Lack of audits
• Allegations of market manipulation
• Regulatory scrutiny.
What could this trigger
🔹 Migration to USDC
🔹 Migration to BTC
🔹 Migration to ALTS
🔹 Increase in USDC pairs across multiple exchanges
Many will disagree and state this could trigger a massive decline in liquidity across the Crypto markets but I don’t think so and here why:
Those affected by this and with meaningful amounts of USDT & are not ready to buy the DCAmber dip will just move to USDC or other stables they like and are unlikely to be dissuaded from crypto, especially now.
In the near future, I think @Tether USDT will have no choice but to strive to meet with the required MiCA regulations just like @Circle USDC has so as not to loose too much market share.
