Telegram Achieves Profitability Amid Challenges
According to Odaily, Telegram has achieved its first profitability in three years, despite the arrest of its founder, Pavel Durov. Durov also announced that the company has repaid a significant portion of its $2 billion debt. Following this news, Elon Musk praised the achievement on social media platform X. Previously, Durov had indicated plans for Telegram to go public by early 2026, but the arrest incident may alter these plans. Telegram declined to comment on this matter, stating that the company remains fully owned by Pavel Durov, who has no intention or need to sell any equity. Some investors remain cautious, but Telegram has assured that it will repay investors on time. Additionally, the company's cryptocurrency holdings have increased, partly due to the incoming U.S. Trump administration's favorable stance towards cryptocurrencies.
