Bitcoin (BTC) has flipped a major milestone: $100,000. BTC, after crossing this price threshold on 5th December 2024, made 14,211 new millionaires as well as 4 new billionaires.

As such, Bitcoin is much faster at making wealth for its holders, even compared to the most successful stocks such as Apple, Tesla, or Nvidia.

A study spearheaded on December 5th sought to analyze more than 17,000 Bitcoin wallets.

These wallets contained more than $1 million worth of BTC, and the information was analyzed in terms of how fast investors became millionaires and billionaires.

To achieve that, the study excluded any wallets that belonged to whales and institutional investors, targeting the normal retail investors who had accumulated their holdings over time. It compared Bitcoin’s wealth creation to the returns of blue-chip stocks like Apple, Tesla, and Nvidia.

Minting Millionaires and Billionaires Much Faster to Stocks

The study concluded that Bitcoin investors turn into millionaires at a phenomenal speed. For instance, $4,000 invested in Bitcoin in 2010 would yield $1 million by 2020, which is 250 times the amount invested.

This milestone arrived 22 times faster than it would have been if it had stocks involved. If the same amount of money is invested in Apple or Tesla stocks, the value would only reach $45,000 in 2020.

Bitcoin extends the speed to creating billionaires even further. Investors who invested $30,500 in bitcoins in the early part of 2011 became billionaires by December 2023 after 12.7 years of investment. This 32,787 times return is 1,064 times faster than traditional stock investors who would have seen just $950,000 in the same duration.

As per the study, the difference in performance between BTC and the top 10 largest companies by market cap is quite shocking. Between 2010 and 2020, Bitcoin grew 20 times more in price than Apple, 9 times more than Nvidia, and 4 times more than Tesla.

Based on the long-term period from 2010 to 2024, BTC has returned 76,378 times Apple, 6,062 times Nvidia, and 9,103 times Tesla. These figures show that Bitcoin’s pie growth is unprecedented, let alone by the world’s largest equities.

As per the study, Bitcoin flipping $100,000 has changed many lives. The milestone price minted over 14,000 new millionaires and 4 billionaires.

This only suggests that Bitcoin can generate wealth faster and more effectively than traditional stock investments.

Bitcoin’s Unmatched Wealth Creation

After surpassing $100,000, Bitcoin has altered the industry and generated a new generation of millionaires.

From the study, it is apparent that Bitcoin’s capability of generating wealth surpasses that of blue-chip investment stocks, thereby making it an almost irresistible investment product.

At the time of writing, Bitcoin is trading at $95,596 after dropping 7.22% over the last 24 hours. As reported by ZyCrypto, at the current price, 1 BTC is currently equal to approximately 39 ounces of gold.
