Make-A-Wish International, a children’s charity, has recently called on crypto holders to donate as Bitcoin’s value reached new all-time highs. The charity aims to grant wishes of children with critical illnesses in 50 countries and has fulfilled over 585,000 wishes since 1980. Make-A-Wish International began accepting cryptocurrency donations three years ago with the help of The Giving Block, an organization that facilitates non-profit crypto donations.

The charity accepts Bitcoin, Ethereum, and USDC donations through its website. These donations have helped expand Make-A-Wish International to three new countries. However, charities have been cautious about accepting cryptocurrency due to risks, such as token volatility and legal ambiguity. Despite this, more charities are adopting the practice, with Make-A-Wish International being one of many now accepting crypto donations.
