NVIDIA is working with the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) to improve AI and ML technologies through open-source projects. NVIDIA, a member of CNCF since 2018, is helping to develop and sustain open-source cloud-native projects by focusing on Kubernetes enhancements and community engagement.
Some of NVIDIA’s significant contributions include transforming Kubernetes to better handle AI and ML workloads, dynamic resource allocation (DRA), KubeVirt, and the NVIDIA GPU Operator. These efforts help organizations concentrate on application development rather than infrastructure management. NVIDIA also actively participates in CNCF events, working groups, and collaborations with cloud service providers, contributing to projects like Kubeflow, CNAO, Node Health Check, Prometheus, Envoy, OpenTelemetry, and Argo to improve monitoring, alerting, and workflow management capabilities for cloud-native applications.
