Changpeng Zhao, or CZ for short, was perplexed to see that fake accounts were being created with the intent of impersonating him. Thus, he took to social media to warn the cryptocurrency community that these types of scams are increasing. CZ mentioned that there is only one official account that represents him and that account should be the only one followed by his followers. That account is @cz_binance. All other accounts are likely to be scams.

With all the fake x accounts out there, just remember cz only use cz x account. All other accounts with cz_ are fake/ impersonator or scammers.

In fact, Changpeng Zhao was actually warned by one of Binance’s Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) Aman Sai. In his post, he seizes Yehi and Changpeng Zhao and declares that they need to be careful. It was this controversy that drew Changpeng Zhao's attention, which prompted the former CEO to pin the KOL's announcement along with the picture of the false page.
The profile image in the screenshot showed that the name on the account is as it was created with a verification tick, while the actual username was @cz_chinese which was alarming. Such differences heighten the quest to find more depth of the imposters who are adamant trying to hoodwink the audience.

Later, the former CEO made it clear that the account can be only one his official i.e. @cz_binance and has appealed to the community to report the same. The case shows the fight against online fraud is a work in progress along with adequate measures to ensure reliability of social media networks.
Given the proliferation of fakes accounts, this caution of Changpeng Zhao has very fresh still reference to the potential engagement in the world online.
