The Code: Veronica has important developments in the overall narrative of Resident Evil. It’s particularly related to the origins of the Ashford family and Umbrella Corporation. Moreover, it builds up on the story of the most popular character Claire Redfield while also bringing back the essential antagonist from the games before.

As the remakes of Resident Evil 2 and 3 have been successful, there was an expectation by the fans for Code: Veronica to be the next in line for remakes. However, the remake of Resident Evil 4 came out first.

According to fans, it will be a missed opportunity for modern gaming platforms if Capcom ignores it.
