VanEck has launched a new venture fund, VanEck Ventures, with a $30 million focus on early-stage investments in crypto, artificial intelligence (AI), and fintech. This initiative targets pre-seed and seed-stage companies, aiming to foster innovation in digital finance and technology. VanEck’s history of managing traditional and digital assets positions it well for this strategic move.

VanEck Ventures plans to invest in 25 to 35 startups, offering funding between $500,000 and $1 million per project. The fund is particularly interested in startups that integrate AI with crypto innovations, seeing potential in reshaping the financial landscape through tokenized assets and blockchain-based payments.

Led by Wyatt Lonergan and Juan Lopez, both formerly with Circle Ventures, the fund benefits from their expertise in early-stage investments and digital assets. Under their guidance, VanEck Ventures has already made four investments, with more expected.

VanEck Ventures aims to create long-term partnerships with innovative startups, providing capital and strategic support to shape the future of digital finance. This move underscores VanEck’s commitment to the transformative power of technology.
