The latest outages on Telegram followed a previous smaller outage detected on Oct. 2, according to Downdetector’s information.

The outages came amid Telegram CEO Pavel Durov hinting that the messenger has been disclosing IP addresses of criminals to authorities since 2018 on Oct. 2.

The CEO is currently under investigation in France, with French prosecutors indicting Durov on six charges related to illicit activity on the messaging platform on Aug. 28.

This is a developing story, and further information will be added as it becomes available.
