Solana Mobile has introduced its next-generation Web3 smartphone. Formerly known as “Chapter Two,” the device has been renamed the Solana Seeker and is scheduled for release in 2025. The Solana Seeker aims to provide users with an advanced Web3 experience at a more affordable price. The device will be equipped with numerous innovative functions tailored for the Solana ecosystem.
Innovations Coming with Solana Seeker
The Solana Seeker has already received over 140,000 pre-orders before its launch. This interest showcases Solana's strength in the mobile sector and the Web3 community's curiosity about this new device. The Solana Mobile community is actively working on developing exclusive decentralized applications (dApps) and features for the Seeker, indicating the breadth of experience the device will offer its users.
Notable features of the device include the Seed Vault wallet, which allows for self-custody, the Solana Mobile dApp store, and the Seeker Genesis Token. The Seeker Genesis Token is described as a type of soulbound NFT, granting users exclusive integrated privileges with the device.
Better Hardware, More Affordable Pricing
Moreover, the Solana Seeker will boast more advanced hardware specifications compared to its predecessor, the Saga. Co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko stated that the device will be launched at a more affordable price while delivering performance standards higher than the Saga.
According to Yakovenko, the Seeker has the potential to become a defining mobile device in the Web3 space by 2025. The Solana Mobile team aims to optimize the device's hardware and software, ensuring users enjoy a safer and faster experience in the Web3 world. It is also anticipated that the applications and functions developed for the Seeker will bring a fresh perspective to the Solana ecosystem.
