**CEX.io Resumes UK Operations After Regulatory Pause**

CEX.io, a centralized cryptocurrency exchange, is back in action in the UK after a temporary suspension in 2023. The platform halted services to comply with the Financial Conduct Authority’s (FCA) new Financial Promotions policy.

Rich Evans, CEX.io's managing director, shared that the exchange "voluntarily suspended operations for UK customers in October 2023" to meet FCA requirements. He emphasized their "measured and responsible approach" to reenter the market.

The UK has been tightening crypto regulations, pushing for clearer legal frameworks and firm registration. CEX.io supports these stricter rules, aiming to protect consumers and promote informed investments.

Other crypto firms like Nexo, PayPal, and Bybit also adjusted their UK operations due to the FCA's guidelines.
