Catizen excited with its user count: Airdrop could be valuable.
Catizen, one of Telegram’s most popular games, has made its mark on the industry by growing very quickly.
Catizen, the tap-to-earn Telegram mini-app, announced on September 7 that it reached a total of 34 million users in its first six months. Catizen claimed in a post on the X social media platform that it has 800 thousand paid users on Telegram and earns an average of $33 per user. This rise in the popular tap-to-earn game has naturally increased airdrop expectations.
According to a press release shared with Cointelegraph, Catizen’s publisher, PLUTO Studio, recently received an undisclosed investment from The Open Platform, the largest developer group on the TON network. Catizen was set to launch in early 2024 as Pluto’s first publishing venture. It has since received support from Hashkey and Binance Labs.
This partnership marks HashKey’s entry into the TON ecosystem, while Catizen becomes the company’s first Web3 partner. HashKey Global’s managing director Ben El-Baz attributed HashKey’s involvement to the rapid growth in the number of developers on the TON blockchain. According to El-Baz, this signals a growing era for the ecosystem.
Another Telegram-based game, Hamster Kombat, recently surpassed 300 million users. The company behind the game, Hamster Foundation, is announcing the largest airdrop in history. However, to achieve this, it will need to surpass Uniswap’s 2020 airdrop, which distributed $6.43 billion.
Although this airdrop seems difficult for now, Telegram players continue to keep their expectations high. The platform’s constant user acquisition, coins such as #NOT , #HMSTR , and #DOGS reaching high market values, and #TON remaining on the agenda in some way may be among the factors that will make the Catizen airdrop valuable.
