According to Richard Ting, Binance’s current CEO, Changpeng Zhao (CZ), the founder of Binance, has been banned for life from holding any responsibilities within the company under an agreement with US authorities. Although CZ remains a major shareholder, he has stepped away from the day-to-day management of the company. Ting also confirmed that CZ can still step in if needed, but he has chosen to step away from Binance’s executive leadership.
