🚨 Shocking Incident: 19-Year-Old Crypto Trader got Attacked in Singapore! 😱💰
In a terrifying incident that sounds straight out of a movie, a 19-year-old crypto trader from Singapore was ambushed during a USDT exchange deal gone wrong! 😳 If you thought crypto trading was all about sitting safely behind a screen, think again! Here’s how the young trader’s face-to-face deal spiraled into chaos…
FACE-TO-FACE DEAL GONE WRONG 🛑
On September 5, Protos reported that a 19-year-old crypto trader, known as “ZK,” was attacked while trying to exchange $24,000 USD worth of Singapore dollars for USDT.
The arrangement was made over Telegram, but the in-person meeting didn’t go as planned.
- ZK had never traded with this seller before
- The location was suddenly changed from a public mall to a parking lot
- Two men, posing as bystanders, attacked ZK during the deal
NARROW ESCAPE 🏃♂️
What should have been a simple exchange turned violent as the men punched ZK in the face. In a panic, he fled the scene and ran toward a nearby shopping mall, shouting for help as the attackers chased him.
Fortunately, ZK managed to escape and later reported the attempted robbery to the authorities.
REASON BEHIND FACE-TO-FACE TRADING 🤔
So, why did ZK take the risk of meeting strangers in person for this deal? Like many crypto traders, he was looking to avoid high transaction fees that come with online exchanges. But in this case, the effort to save some money nearly cost him his safety!
SINGAPORE POLICE TO THE RESCUE 🚨
Singaporean authorities acted swiftly and arrested two suspects, aged 20 and 21, in connection with the attack. While ZK escaped with his cash and life, this incident serves as a serious warning for those considering in-person crypto deals.
POINTS TO NOTE 📌
- Always conduct transactions in secure, public locations
- Avoid last-minute changes to the meeting spot
- Trust established exchanges to avoid unnecessary risks
Stay safe!
