🚨😳A 19-year-old cryptocurrency trader from Singapore was ambushed while attempting to exchange USDT in person. 😳😳🚨🚨

According to reports from BlockBeats and Protos, the incident occurred on August 29 when the young trader, identified only as “ZK,” met two men to exchange 32,000 Singapore dollars (about 24,000 USD) for USDT. During the face-to-face transaction, one of the men suddenly punched ZK in the face, forcing him to flee to a nearby shopping mall, where he shouted for help.

ZK said the two men appeared to be ordinary pedestrians, but their intentions quickly became clear when they attacked him during the exchange. Fearing they were trying to rob him of the cash, ZK managed to escape and later reported the incident to the police.

The transaction was arranged through Telegram, and although ZK had never dealt with the seller before, he proceeded with the meeting due to his need for USDT. He mentioned that buying USDT in person helped him avoid transaction fees, which he considered too high given his trading frequency. Initially, the plan was to meet in a public mall, but the location was changed at the last minute to a nearby parking lot.

Singapore police have since arrested two men, aged 20 and 21, in connection with the attempted robbery.
