**Web 3 Gaming Takes Center Stage at Blockchain Futurist Conference**
At the Blockchain Futurist Conference in Toronto, executives from World3, Helika, and Anomaly Games shared insights on the future of Web 3 gaming. Long Do, CEO of Anomaly Games, highlighted his company's efforts to simplify blockchain for users, making it seamless and user-friendly.
Do also noted that Web 3 game developers tend to earn significantly more than their traditional counterparts. Michael Grills from World3 emphasized the potential for creating robust player economies, likening it to collectible trading card games where community trading and asset ownership are key.
Helika's CEO, Anton Umnov, described onchain games as a gateway to the broader crypto ecosystem, citing that 50% of transactions on some blockchain networks come from these games. He pointed to the success of Telegram-based games in driving user engagement.
In July 2024, Helika and Notcoin launched a $50 million gaming accelerator program to boost Telegram games. Additionally, former Telegram Open Network Foundation executives introduced a $40 million developer fund to support mini-apps within the TON ecosystem, following the success of games like Hamster Kombat.
