Ethereum's co-founders, Vitalik Buterin and Joseph Lubin, have been discussing the future of Ethereum at a week-long event in Brussels. They've been praising the advent of zero-knowledge proof (ZK-proof) powered layer 2s as the key to Ethereum's development. Lubin said, "We have achieved scalability, we've achieved affordability, and we’re really close to achieving usability." Buterin, meanwhile, focused on the challenges for Ethereum as a base layer for its L2-centric approach. He highlighted the barriers to solo and pooled staking, and the risk of censorship. Buterin also proposed increasing the quorum threshold to 75% or more to combat network attacks. 🚀
