Polkadot Concerned About Treasury Runway, Spent $87M on Ecosystem Development in 2024
In the first half of this year, Polkadot has invested $87 million worth of DOT tokens in a variety of projects. Around $245 million worth of DOT is now held in Polkadot's treasury; community members predict that this amount will last for around two years at current pricing. Comparing the latest expenditure rise to the over $25 million spent in the second half of 2023, it is more than a 125% increase.
