Welcome to Kadena Cabinet, a Community Advisory Board (CAB) designed exclusively for KDA token holders. This article provides an overview of navigating the platform, from understanding its functionalities to maximizing engagement and rewards.Today marks the beginning of CAB, a paradigm shift in how we work alongside our community to build the future of Kadena.

Becoming a member of the CAB allows you to:

Earn KDA: By voting on proposals presented to the CAB, you will earn KDA as a reward.
Vote on Proposals: Influence initiatives and operational adjustments within the Kadena ecosystem by voting in polls.
Control How Much You Earn: Your rate of reward will depend on the duration that you select to lock your KDA and how much you vote in polls presented during your lockup period.
Track Activities: Monitor locked tokens, view past and current voting, and assess the outcomes and impact of completed polls.
CAB members are rewarded in KDA tokens, up to 10% of their initial lockup, depending on varying factors during the applicable lockup period, including:

Participation rate in on-chain polling
Amount of tokens locked (minimum of 100 KDA, maximum 5,000 KDA)
Lockup duration (3, 6, 9 or 12 months)

Join a Lockup
Securely lock your tokens within the platform (via a smart contract) to participate in polls and earn KDA proportional to your participation.

Join a lockup on Kadena Cabinet
Choose the lockup duration and amount of KDA to lock. Depending on the duration you choose for your lockup, the potential rewards you may receive and the voting power multiplier are as follows, multiplied by the amount of KDA locked:

Participants can only claim rewards at the end of the lockup period they elect. Early withdrawal is not allowed, and participants agree to this condition when they start the lockup.

Vote on Proposals
Cabinet Members gain the right to participate in on-chain polling on proposals related to Kadena, such as Kadena Improvement Plans (KIPs), or community thoughts on Kadena ecosystem initiatives, and will be rewarded for doing so. Cabinet members can offer their input on future initiatives by voting to approve, reject, or abstain on proposals added by Kadena.

Voting is a crucial component of the CAB and is what allows members to earn rewards. Members can earn the full reward determined at the lockup initiation if all polls commenced during their lockup duration are participated in. Depending on the rate of participation in polls during one’s lockup, members will earn a proportion of their potential rewards. The more you participate, the more you can receive!
