According to Odaily, the Governor of Oklahoma has signed a bill exempting Bitcoin miners from sales tax on electricity. This follows a previous announcement in May, when the state of Oklahoma signed a bill, HB 3594, to protect the rights related to cryptocurrency. The state legislature's website shows that Governor Kevin Stitt approved the bill on May 13, which will come into effect on November 1.

Under the new law, the Oklahoma government cannot prohibit, limit, or harm the use of cryptocurrency in purchases and self-hosting rights. In addition, state and local governments cannot levy additional taxes or other fees specifically targeting cryptocurrencies. They can only apply the statutory currency tax, and participating in any type of mining in the state is legal. This is to protect local home cryptocurrency mining and mining businesses.
