What is Alt coin season?
Everyone has heard of Alt season…
It’s a phenomenon that happens during the bull cycle. It tends to take place for around the final 70% of the crypto bull cycle. Bitcoin always leads the way in the beginning, attracting liquidity from both retail and institutional investors. Once Bitcoin has had its initial price rise, it starts to break all time highs, people start talking about it again after the long boring bear cycle, it starts to make headlines on the news, and the #FOMO begins to kick in.
Profit is made slowly with BTC but people want more. They want to make 10X profit within a month. The bitcoin price will begin to slow down and start making consolidation phases. Investors begin to pull out $BTC profits and pile it into altcoins. We notice a BTC dominance % drop and alt coin dominance rise. We then see altcoin FOMO take place and this is where people make serious money.
Some alts have started popping but we aren't yet in full swing. Alts will really start booming in Q4 of 2024 and start peaking in 2025.
