🥵Mt.Gox Transfers $9B Bitcoin to Single Address as Part of Repayment Plans, Sparking BTC Price Plunge
Nearly 107,000 bitcoin have been moved since early Asian hours on Tuesday, with bitcoin shedding 1.2% on expectations of selling pressure. Over 140,000 BTC, worth around $9 billion, were transferred from Mt. Gox wallets to an unknown address in thirteen transactions, possibly as part of a plan to repay creditors by October 31, 2024.
The market reacted bearishly to these movements, with Bitcoin dropping by 1.4% to as low as $67,680 after reaching a high of over $70,000 on Monday.
