Are cryptocurrency faucet claims a waste of time?

A Bitcoin faucet is a website that offers you a very small amount of Bitcoin for a given task, like visiting a shortlink or viewing an ad. Most of them are not profitable in any way and requires a lot of time for just a small dime. To earn an amount that could be worth it requires a tons of referrals. The number of referrals depends on the referral commission. The lower it is, the more referrals is needed. But you need at least 1000. Personally I don't use faucets with commission lower than 50%.
