Many new traders make a big mistake by putting all their money, even their savings, into cryptocurrencies when the market is booming. They get too excited, especially when they make some money early on, and believe the market will keep going up. Also, there are scammers who promote coins that are worthless, making things worse by tricking newbies into making bad choices.
For instance, a friend of mine lost a bunch of money investing in Student Coin ($STC) when the market was at its best. It's important to understand that when the market is booming, it's not the best time for long-term investments. Instead, it's a chance to trade and make money. Investing when the market is booming increases the chances of losing your money. It's smarter to invest when the market is not doing so well, rather than when everyone is overly optimistic.
