Optimism (OP) has announced its 4th airdrop, distributing 10,343,757.81 OP tokens (valued at $40.8 million) to 22,998 addresses! 🎉 This airdrop rewards Web3 artists who've created NFTs on Ethereum mainnet, Optimism’s Superchain, Base, and Zora platforms before Jan 10.

Key points:

- Users must claim tokens by Feb 13, 2025

- Max reward: 6,000 OP (~$23,640) per address

- Rewards based on gas expended by others during minting/trading of NFTs

- Bonus eligibility criteria can increase token allocation by 50%

Optimism is also set to introduce Span Batches, aiming to decrease fixed chain overhead for blockchain operators by over 90%. This will facilitate the launch of more OPs in the upcoming month. 🚀
