According to Foresight News, the US Navy is seeking partnerships with the private sector to advance its proprietary 'PARANOID' blockchain technology. PARANOID, a mechanism for integrating the development of naval combat flight plans, is a blockchain-based system designed to protect software from cyber attacks during its development and deployment process.

Throughout the software development process, PARANOID verifies the files of each node via blockchain at every step, ensuring the security of the software. Every action taken by developers is registered as an entry on the PARANOID blockchain, providing a general ledger of activities. If anyone attempts to hijack or invade the software during the development process by editing, replacing, or deleting code or files, these changes will not be able to be verified by the immutable database on the PARANOID system's blockchain.
