According to PANews, a report released by Singapore-based payment company Triple-A predicts that the global user base for digital currencies will reach 562 million by 2024, accounting for 6.8% of the world's population. This represents a 34% increase from the 420 million users in 2023. The report also reveals that 34% of cryptocurrency holders aged between 24 and 35, the largest age group among all.
The United Arab Emirates, Singapore, and Turkey are among the top 30 economies with the highest rate of cryptocurrency ownership. Asia continues to lead in terms of cryptocurrency holdings, increasing from 268.2 million to 326.8 million. North America follows with holdings of 72.2 million.
