According to BlockBeats, BNP Paribas, the second-largest bank in Europe, recently disclosed its purchase of Bitcoin. The bank revealed this through a 13F filing submitted to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The document indicates that BNP Paribas bought shares of the BlackRock Bitcoin ETF.
As per the regulations, large institutional investors managing over $100 million must disclose their quarterly holdings through a 13F filing. BNP Paribas, with a total asset management scale exceeding $600 billion, made a relatively small investment of approximately $40,000 in IBIT.
However, this move is significant as it marks the beginning of one of Europe's largest banks increasing its Bitcoin holdings through an ETF.
