According to Foresight News, Briya, a blockchain-based medical data exchange platform, has announced the completion of an $11.5 million Series A funding round. The round was led by Team8, with participation from Insight Partners, Amiti Ventures, Innocare Health Investments, and the George Kaiser Family Foundation. This brings Briya's total funding to $17 million.
Briya's scalable blockchain-driven system can standardize all forms of electronic health records, enabling life science organizations to simplify access and exchange of real-time anonymized medical data. Briya is one of the ten startups selected for the 2022 Intel Ignite accelerator program and has also participated in the Health Engine accelerator at the University of California, Berkeley.
