losses from cryptocurrency scams, vulnerabilities, and hacker attacks gradually decreased in the last few months of 2024, with December being the month with the least amount of hacker attacks throughout the year.
Blockchain security company CertiK stated in a post on X on December 31st that the known losses caused by vulnerabilities, hackers, and scams in December were $28.6 million, compared to $63.8 million in November and $115.8 million in October.
According to the company, vulnerabilities caused the majority of the losses, with attackers stealing $26.7 million in December.
