"Altcoin"
A term referring to any cryptocurrency that is not Bitcoin. For example, Ethereum ($ETH ), Cardano ($ADA ), or Solana ($SOL ).
"Token"
A digital representation of an asset or right within a blockchain. Tokens can represent cryptocurrencies, physical assets, loyalty points, or even voting rights.
"HODL"
An acronym for "Hold On for Dear Life". This term refers to holding a cryptocurrency for the long term, without selling, despite market volatility.
"Whale"
Refers to an investor or entity that holds large amounts of a cryptocurrency, which allows them to influence the market with their movements.
"FOMO"
An acronym for "Fear of Missing Out", symbolizing the fear of missing an investment opportunity. This often leads to impulsive buying when the price is rising.
"FUD"
A strategy of spreading misinformation to generate fear, uncertainty, and doubt about a crypto project, affecting its price. This usually causes holders to sell impulsively.
"Bull Market"
When someone mentions bulls, they are typically referring to a positive attitude or scenario. In this case, a Bull Market is a period during which cryptocurrency prices rise consistently.
"Bear Market"
On the other hand, when someone talks about bears, they are usually referring to a negative attitude or scenario. In this case, a Bear Market is a period during which cryptocurrency prices decline consistently.
