Pre-Christmas, the magic was more elusive, with only 5 rallies recorded, but still delivering festive gains as high as 11.56%.
Bitcoin followed a similar trend, soaring by 13.19% in its best pre-Christmas rally (2016) and crashing by a frosty 21.30% in its worst year (2017). While the rally isn’t a guarantee, #December often delivers bigger market moves, with crypto market caps surging up to 94.19% during the month or plunging by as much as 15.56%.
