Bitcoin's recent attempt to break the $100,000 mark on November 24 ended in a retreat, sparking one of the largest crypto liquidation events in months. Over $470 million in crypto positions were liquidated within 24 hours, with $352.6 million in long positions and $119.9 million in shorts wiped out, according to CoinGlass. Altcoins bore the brunt, with Bitcoin and Ether accounting for $108.9 million in liquidations. Despite this, some altcoins like Stellar and Dogecoin saw significant price rallies.
