Delhi Police Arrest Suspect in $230M WazirX Cryptocurrency Hack
Delhi Police have detained Masud Alam, linked to the $230M cryptocurrency theft from WazirX.
Hackers exploited a fraudulent account sold on Telegram to breach WazirX’s “hot” wallet, while attempts to access its “cold” wallet failed. Singapore-based Liminal Custody, responsible for securing WazirX wallets, has refused to cooperate with investigators.
WazirX stated the hack resulted from external deception, not internal vulnerabilities. Investigations continue.
