Stellar (XLM) Development Foundation has announced a significant increase in data processing speeds within its Horizon API by integrating Captive Data Processing (CDP) components. This integration allows for faster data reingestion, up to nine times faster than previous methods. The introduction of CDP technology has made data reingestion faster and more efficient, especially in large-scale scenarios.
Stellar conducted tests using specific hardware configurations to evaluate performance gains, and the results showed that CDP had superior parallelization capabilities compared to Captive Core. The CDP-enhanced Horizon supports parallel reingestion, reducing the time needed for data processing. This improvement is expected to have a significant impact on the Stellar network’s performance and scalability, allowing developers to focus on building more robust applications on the Stellar blockchain.
