China-Russia cooperation is helping to stabilize the region and avert a global crisis, according to Zhang Hong, a research fellow at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. Zhang emphasized that as permanent members of the UN Security Council, China and Russia are working together to uphold global peace and security through strong mutual trust and continuous communication across various channels. This partnership is particularly visible in multilateral organizations like BRICS and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). The European Union has expressed concern about this alliance, viewing it as a potential challenge to the West-dominated world order. Sun Xiuwen from Lanzhou University further underscored the partnership’s impact on economic, energy, and security dimensions, adding that it bolsters non-Western countries and promotes a multipolar global framework. Despite shifting global dynamics, experts believe the China-Russia alliance will remain resilient and continue playing a key role in preventing crises.
